BTC-e.com Top Ten Bitcoin Exchange Seized – Bitcoins Stolen

The United States Department of Justice in disrepute for its shady Democratic Party affiliations, politically motivated policies, uneven handed justice, as well as other USA federal bodies – including those with legally incarcerated federal staff and who have stolen bitcoins – have apparently seized the domain name btc-e.com. This was the homepage of btc-e.com on July 29 2017:

The seizure follows an arrest, indictments and swirling allegations.

According to Bitcoinity.org BTC-e.com held down tenth position with 163k bitcoin or 3.41% of the total bitcoin trades in July 2017. BTC-e traded over 14.5M bitcoin or 0.91% of all bitcoin traded all time during the lifetime of BTC-e.

Greece, ironically the birthplace of democracy and personal freedoms, reported “Since 2011, the 38-year-old [Vinnik] has been running a criminal organization which administers one of the most important websites of electronic crime in the world,” and that “at least $4 billion is believed to have been laundered.”

However the seizure of the domain BTC-e.com is premature. It used to be that in the eyes of the law a person was considered innocent until proven guilty. Not a shred of evidence has been offered by those who seized the domain. The defendants have not even seen their day in court. Yet USA authorities have seized the domain and worse – stealing bitcoins from traders who legitimately traded on the exchange.

Has the United States undertaken to repay the honest customers whose funds they have erroneously seized? Where is the contact information for customer support? There is none – just like there is no justice done.

The thieving USA authorities have seized an important bitcoin exchange and are apparently lining their own pockets with the proceeds. No government body should profit from its own seizures because it begs for continued and widespread abuse by public authority.

The Americans have stolen bitcoins again.
